friday flowers: trophy vase

I'm excited to go back to SA next week - mainly because I'm going with loads of gifts for weddings and new babies, which means I should have room to bring back a few treasures, including some old trophies from my granddad's golfing career.

Trophies make fantastic vases. It's almost worth getting good at a sport or something like that...
Brandon Branch's arrangement in a pewter golf trophy from 1952 is something to aspire to - a mix of apricot and orange cymbidium orchids, yarrow, Star of Bethlehem and holly leaves.

What a genius idea! I now know what to do with at least two of my partners old football trophies that are too ugly to go on display normally ;-)
