lonny love

If it weren't enough good news that Spring has sprung, there is even more to celebrate -Lonny's out!

I raced through the Market news pages - too many magazines & blogs read like catalogues at the moment - but paused at this totally sexy sofa by Reagan Hayes. I covet...
and it would be absolutely perfect in my apartment, overlooking the water.

Anyway, moving swiftly on - this issue was a mix of different styles, most of which left me cold. I couldn't pick a favourite from those that I did like... none were exactly to my taste (kinda over Kelly Wearstler since her work is everywhere, all the time), but I'm beginning to understand that my taste is ever evolving! The editorial is good though, Lonny still leads the way with lots of hints and tips and isn't as text heavy as Matchbook...

So...

I *loooooved* Amanda Nisbet's office, and her advice about overcoming obstacles, honoring your gifts and finding your true calling - her office was a delightful mix, there would be something to keep you inspired each and every day...

How opposite to the calm colors of Tobi Tobin's Malibu house?
There's something so expensive looking about antique wood, white linen,
silver and modern lighting.

It was the breakfast nook that delighted me...
and while I don't understand how you could sleep past daybreak in this room...
I think that might be irrelevant because I'd be doing 'other stuff!'
Mainly because I imagined I'd feel a bit like Gisele in there -
all beach mussed hair, cut off jeans, and long lean sunkissed limbs - exactly like real life then.

Hillary Thomas' design in this dining room reminded me a *lot* of modern South African living...succulents, screed floors, lots of space & light...I can't wait to go home in April now...

Finally, Anna Burke works for Celerie Kemble, lucky fish...no wonder she has a great eye.
I could *never* live with that photo of an old lady but can totally appreciate this as a fab apartment...

Any favs for you?
I'm heading straight onto Matchbook mag and Ivy & Piper...whoop!...
Annoyed at myself that I haven't managed them yet...

NEED Amanda Nisbet's office table, only shorter, for my lounge coffee table (so my beautiful gray nguni can be admired from above) or an oversized version of coffee table above ... where can I get these??? at normal human prices?

I know...isn't it fab. It looks like perspex, but that would scratch. Look at Dwell and mydeco I think - you might find something there...
