meat-free monday: heaven sent sara-lou's pecan pie

When you die and go to heaven, this is what you'll be eating:

If not, well, that's proof that you um...
didn't quite make it to Heaven.

Sorry, but that's how you'll know. 

In the meantime, 
here's some more detail for making the earthly version.

Variation 1
If you're in San Francisco,
call Marcellos Pizza on Castro and order Sara Lou's Pecan Pie.

Variation 2:
If you're not in San Fran, you'll need a pizza base.
Supermarket ones are pretty horrid, so don't go there.

To make your own pizza base, google 'pizza base recipe'


Hmm, looks kinda complicated.

Good luck with that.

Alternatively, order a pizza base with no topping
from your local delivery service and be ready to build it.

On the top goes: Mozzarella Cheese topped with Spinach,
California Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Ricotta Cheese
and Sara Lou’s fresh cracked Pecans.


I'm not sure what happens if you use normal pecans,
but if the pizzas with Sara Lou's pecans tastes like
Manna from Heaven, 
then I'm sure normal ones will taste pretty damn delicious.

Num-num. I've just ordered pizza and am now considering sending it back when it arrives and demanding one of these!!

Will definitely be making this with my Tugi and her *favourite* aunt!
