eat.pray.love

I was one of the women - one of the 7 million women who bought the book, not including those who just borrowed it - who thought 'Elizabeth Gilbert is writing about me, to me, for me....'


I wasn't sure about seeing the movie, but so loving the photos in September's ELLE of Julia Roberts - she takes me right back to how I felt at various parts of the book...









I was nursing my own smashed heart, so the first half of the book resonated the most - I wanted to run away too...




Couldn't quite get my head around some of the enlightenment promised in India, but remember how Elizabeth felt she was getting it together - and Julia totally encapsulates that...





And now, many many months later, things have worked out that I'm on my own journey - literally, having left Mud Isle for a sojourn in sunny California, and not sure where to next - but finally open to a happy ending of my own...
